Keep it Simple

Hey y'all,

I'm going to keep it pretty simple this week.  I'm feelin' run ragged by track hack and school (not to mention the rap game) and so I'm gonna let the songs do most of the talking this week.

I don't love Billy Joel.  In fact, I find him pretty cheesy.  I do like some Billy Joel.  For instance, I really like "only the good die young" and "Piano Man."  I like Piano Man for a couple of reasons.  The first is that it'd be a really good song to do an impromptu rendition of on a 60 beer night.  The second is that it reminds me of "Tiny Dancer"...and I love "Tiny Dancer" for many reasons.  The main one being Almost Famous.

Dig it:
Elton

                                                                          Billy

The second set comes from a different vein.  I like soft rock piano every once and a while and I like fucked up, drunken, pissed off rock and roll every once in a while.  Ironically I got into the MC5 because they sounded like The Libertines.  That's dumb because Pete Doherty and his junkie self came way after the MC5.  Either way...

Remember to breathe friends!
