"Your Chateau Nuef, I'm the Yellow Label"

Hey y'all,
Rob here. The first song im gonna post this week is one I love for a bunch of reasons:
A) It is one of the best songs about friendship I've ever heard
B) It is one of the best songs about being Canadian I've ever heard
C) It is THE best song to ever mention Marty McSorely
This is song is about the man behind Kathleen's sound.  His name is Jim Bryson and he is awesome.  Definitely one of the best dudes to be leading your backing band.  I think its awesome how Kathleen gives it up for her guitar player even though she gets "heavy rotation on the CBC, whatever in hell that really means" (one of my favourite lyrics because I have a soft spot for when people mention Canadian shit in songs)

The second song this week is from the single greatest "supporting actor" in musical history: George Harrison.  You might be thinking 'wait a minute this is one of the most famous guitar players of all time, how can he be a supporting actor' well let me tell ya.  It's because he wrote songs like "All Things Must Pass" and The Bealtes never recorded it.  He played with Dylan, with Clapton, on all the other Beatles solo stuff, he got stabbed by a crazy ass fan breaking into his house, Eric Clapton stole his wife and he forgave him for it.  This dude is awesome.  This song is awesome; if I die, play this at my funeral.  The version here is from The Beatles' Anthology (3) and eventually became the title track for one of George's amazing solo records.  Check it out.  It's the best solo Beatles record.

For those of you who don't know I love Springsteen. Enough said.  This song features the incandescent Clarence Clemons. If you have never seen Springsteen live you have to, just for Clarence.  He looks like a freakin' undertaker. This tune's called "Tenth Avenue Freeze Out" Shout out to Mark and Haller!

This will be my final song.  Two Hours Traffic is from PEI and Joel Plaskett is their producer.  After the CIS 4x800 in 2009 I went to see these guys at the Chubby Pickle in Windsor.  The place was empty.  We were pretty wasted and having a good time.  I think Pat may have pissed them off by singing random words as their lyrics but either way the concert rocked and afterward Pat and I ate the best street meet in the entire world...well according to the vendor.

Gotsta go to class!
