Bon Voyage 2010

Hey y'all,

Rob J here again.  Don't worry I'm not going to hijack this blog with post after post of songs you may not give two hoots about.  But, today I am posting for my good friend Jonah while he is away in Israel.  Fear not, he will be back soon and he sends his love.  He also got a ballin' camera and has promised to take pictures of all super neat things he sees! Excited? Yes...me too! Also, if you're around come to his party on the 15th of January.  I promise to get him as licked up as possible and if there is anything worth seeing it is Jonah and Pat all licked up together.

Let's get crackin' shall we.  Last year around this time Jonah encouraged me to get into rap.  He assisted me by giving me a collection of Talib, Mos Def, and Jurassic Five.  Since then I have listened to "Re: Definition" by Blackstar 187 times (according to iTunes). This year, Jonah would like to pass on a couple songs in the same vein.  The first is Kid Cudi.  While Jonah rode the bus into Toronto in the early hours of the morning he spent a lot of time listening to the Kid.  This tune is called REVOFEV.  It rocks.  Apparently he's our big brother.  Phew. Somebody IS watching:

NOTE: Kid Kudi is pretty pretty. He is also in a cool show Jonah showed me called How To Make It In America which has a wicked soundtrack.  It's the show that launched a thousand blog posts of a certain song referencing the need of a certain artist for a dolla.

Song two: officially released in 2009 this tune is called "Ain't Nothing Like You" by blakroc.  It's the Black Keys and Mos Def. Mos Def is awesome. So are the Black Keys. The jury is still out on Jim Jones...but hey, maybe 2011 will be his year:

Well compadres, these are the tunes that our good friend Jonah would like to offer you as this year winds down.  He hopes you enjoy them...but if you don't he probably doesn't care (or at least won't show it. but I hear him sniffling in the night.)

Peace out hommies, and stay safe Jonah!

Rob J
