ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh quick!

guys, i almost forgot to blog. i was all caught up in my favourite year end event: the world junior hockey championship! we lost to the swedes, but it's not like we haven't historically lost to the swedes in the round robin then stormed back to beat them in the final!

my favourite songs of 2010... hmm...

it wouldn't have been what it was without 'home' from edward sharpe and the magnetic zero's. but if i posted that, you'd probably all leave. because you've probably all moved on to remixes.

i'm still on the fence over whether or not i believe in remixes.

now this first band was introduced to me at the pool. some lifeguards have an unfortunate taste of music that rarely stems beyond the Billboard. but on certain afternoons some aquatic supervisors seem to know exactly what i want to hear. these guys have won me over, recently. check out their new album 'down the way' for more gems like the one below.



and dr. dog! do you know these guys? they confuse me sometimes. this song doesn't sound like most of their stuff, it's a little 'poppier'. but sometimes when i picture what i would hypothetically like to sound like on stage, i think of this song and how this guy sounds like a puppy dog would sound if a puppy dog sounded sort of like a human. do you hear that? kind of smirky and cute and 'don't worry about me, i'm just singing 'cause i want to!'
