Mixtape: A homemade music compilation (usually on cassette or CD-R) that contains all your favourite tracks. Often you give such a compilation to the guy or gal of your fancy in hopes that it will help you win their heart.
There's no way that girl can say no, I made her the greatest mixtape ever!

Don't Say Goodbye, Just Say So Long
Hey y'all. I'll get to the mushy "Tommy is the best guy ever" post in a second. First, I have to tell about the most ridiculous day of my life. So yesterday I raced down at Eastern Michigan Universityin good old Ypsilanti Michigan. What a trip that was. My day started off pretty shitty when I couldn't sleep the night before so I had that groggy half hungover feeling all day. But the weather was nice and my legs were finally starting to get over the torching they got on Monday. The car ride starts and I manage to catch a few minutes of sleep, everything is gonna be OK. Or not. The border crossing in Sarnia is backed up to pretty much London. This was my first experience with the Bluewater Bridge Border crossing and it will definitely be my last. We sat in traffic waiting to get over the bridge for 2 hours. Luckily we planned on being at EMU early so we were confident we could make it before our races started and still get in a decent warm up. But then, just because when, as Moulton would say, "it rains, it pours", our car got 'randomly selected' for inspection (otherwise know as the 'we need some white people in the inspection station so we don't look racist and you guys just happen to be the whitiest people crossing the border today' inspection). Now we're screwed, oh and I should mention the temperature dropped about 10 degrees and it started raining (yeah!). Gen's race started at 6pm. We dropped her on the road a few minutes away so that she could get a jog in before the race. My race started at 6:15. I got in a 3/4 of a lap jog and a few strides. Gen still managed to set a meet record and run pretty damn well. I was not so fortunate. Oh well. Luckily, the Subway in Ypsilanti had spinach as a topping choice so the trip wasn't a complete waste. Then I got the enjoyment of driving back to Guelph, getting picked up by my brother at 2am and continuing to drive home to Sydenham. Gotta love going to bed as the Sun comes up!
Ok, sorry about that. I'm really over tired, still wearing my racing shorts, and it's cold as hell in my house right now. So, Tommy Mosher. Probably the coolest cat out there. I mean, he did get an entire week of mixtapes dedicated to him. That's a pretty big honour. Right up there with the Nobel Prize if you ask me. Here are some songs for T.
Great Lake Swimmers: Imaginary Bars. These guys are playing at Wolfe Island this summer (Aug 5-6), be there. Tickets go on sale May 10th and are only $60 for the whole weekend (which includes camping fees I think... don't quote me though).
Wolf Parade: This Heart's On Fire. T loves these guys, who doesn't. I can remember numerous times rocking out to this song with T.
Eddie Vedder: No Ceiling. From the Into the Wild soundtrack. Now while Tommy isn't exactly forsaking society and all his possessions (he is going tree planting in order to make as much money as possible), he did throw his cell phone in a lake last week.
The Tragically Hip: Wheat Kings. Tommy doesn't know the Hip that well but he loves Bobcaygon. He should also love this song, get on that T.
Have fun up north Tommy. Don't get raped by a bear and remember not to use Poison Ivy as toilet paper.
