Hey y'all,
Got a little something special for ya today - a Mixtape Collektive original tune! The track is titled "The Feelin' is Mutual" and features the bright minds and quick wits of Collektive Thought. The creative beast of Tommy Mosher, Steve Holmes, and me (Rob J), Collektive Thought is a project that explores the worlds of Garage Band and Hip-Hop. We intend on releasing a 6 song EP in March and until then we will release a song a week on soundcloud/The Mixtape Collektive.

I think Tommy explained the process best on his blog: "Jackson and I have been learning to rap. It’s not hard. Write a whole bunch of words that have flow and learn to release them on beat… It’s actually really hard. But we don’t take it too seriously, so we can’t lose. I’d say we’re taking it seriously enough to turn some heads, though. It’s nice to be writing again, and in a form I’ve never really tried. EP to be released soon, “Introduktions”."

Mixtape: A homemade music compilation (usually on cassette or CD-R) that contains all your favourite tracks. Often you give such a compilation to the guy or gal of your fancy in hopes that it will help you win their heart. There's no way that girl can say no, I made her the greatest mixtape ever!
